To be considered for the BailSafe Model of Care, prospective participants must fulfill the following general requirements:
Individuals must be eligible for Medicare, ensuring that they have access to a wide range of health services in Australia.
Access to a Digital Device with Working Video Camerao ensure continuity of care and consistent monitoring, individuals should have a stable and verifiable home address.
Working Mobile Phone and Contact Number: A primary means of communication, this ensures that the care team can remain in regular contact with the individual.
Ability to Attend Local Pathology Centre Twice Weekly: Ensures that regular drug screening and other necessary medical tests can be conducted.
Capacity to Fund Out-of-Pocket Costs: Patients must be aware that the BailSAFE Program operates on a fee-for-service basis. All fees must be paid in advance prior to the commencement of treatment.
Consent to Share Treatment: Participants should be aware their progress being shared with relevant stakeholders, including the court.
Consent to the Weekly Attendance Requirements: A commitment to attending all required sessions, therapies, and check-ins, demonstrating dedication to rehabilitation.
To be eligible for the BailSAFE Program, patients are subject to assessment and must meet the criteria for an active substance use disorder and/or a mental health disorder. Additionally, patients must express a genuine desire to participate in treatment. n the program.
